Biography

Jesse Wolstein is a physician certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Life Care Planner. As Chief Innovation Officer and a life care planner with the practice, he prepares life care plans, medical cost projections and forensic medical records reviews for plaintiff and defense counsel nationwide, and testifies at deposition and trial on that work.

Dr. Wolstein has practiced emergency medicine since 2018: as an attending physician at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, New York, since April 2022, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, from July 2018 to June 2026, and, as a locum tenens, at Rochester General Hospital from November 2023 to November 2025. His clinical practice covers the assessment, stabilization and treatment of emergency conditions and the procedures of emergency medicine, from airway management to fracture reduction, laceration repair and point-of-care ultrasound. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Morristown Medical Center (2015 to 2018) after earning his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College.

He joined the practice in 2025, after a counseling practicum and a rehabilitation counseling internship. His forensic work draws on his emergency medicine practice: he examines evaluees, reads the medical record as a treating physician reads it, and translates diagnoses and treatment into functional restrictions, future medical needs and their costs. His case work includes life care planning assessments and reports, medical cost projections, forensic medical records reviews and analyses of conscious pain and suffering, the analysis of needs and costs for home and attendant care, and the review and rebuttal of opposing life care plans and medical cost projections.

Dr. Wolstein holds a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling and Disability Sciences from the University of South Florida (December 2025), a Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College (2015) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ramapo College of New Jersey (2008), and is a candidate for a Master of Science in Economics at Purdue University (expected 2027). He is licensed to practice medicine in New York and New Jersey and holds the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (January 2026) and Certified Life Care Planner credentials. His research articles, published between 2010 and 2012, concern kidney fibrosis and regeneration and corneal inflammation in mouse models. In October 2026 he presented, with Daniel Wolstein, Ph.D., "From IME to Restrictions to Vocational Earning Capacity" at the American Rehabilitation Economics Association 2026 Annual Conference in Providence, Rhode Island.
